RESEARCH,
INC. INTRODUCES THE INNOVATIVE DRYIR FAMILY OF INFRARED HEATERS
|
 |
April 2, 2004, Eden Prairie, MN – Research, Inc., an industry
leader in the design,
development, and manufacture of electric infrared heating components
and integrated
heating systems, introduces the new DryIR? family of infrared
heaters. The DryIR family offers the capability to concentrate
infrared heat directly to the desired area, resulting in immediate
evaporation. These heaters make it simple to add extra capability
enabling increased line speeds. Designed for easy installation,
low operation cost, and minimal maintenance, the system is an
economical solution.
The DryIR heaters are designed for drying applications that
require a clean, responsive,
non-contact heat source on target areas from 0.5 to 4 inches
(13 to 102 mm) wide. They are ideal for water-based drying,
solvent-based drying and adhesive curing. The infrared energy
emitted from each heater can be adjusted to match the specific
heating
requirements for a variety of applications. They provide a clean
and efficient heat
source, which does not contact the product being heated. The
modular design of the
heater allows units to be installed in a variety of configurations
suitable for many
applications.
The DryIR heaters supply a variety of features and related benefits.
The aluminum
construction of the DryIR combined with the air-cooling, allows
the heater to withstand
continuous high-temperature operation. An integral fan blows
air past the lighted lamps
resulting in heated air impinging on the target product surface.
The hot air combined with the infrared energy produced by the
quartz lamps produces extremely efficient drying.
The DryIR family has three different models designed to meet
specific application needs. The Model 6020 generates 2.0 kW
of power and can dry an area up to 2 inches (50 mm) wide. The
Model 6030 generates 4.0 kW and can dry and area up to 4 inches
(102 mm) wide. The Model 6040 also dries up to 4 inches (102
mm) wide and has 9.0 kW of power for additional drying capability.
A complete, integrated heating system is available by ordering
the Model 6020 heater
along with the ‘PC’ (power controller) option. A
digital power controller comes integrated with Models 6030 and
6040. Sales inquiries should be directed to Gail Martinson,
